Whit e dwarf is a very dense copproximately sum massed star with a size of Earth. It's a very faint star. The luminosity of a white dwarf comes from not fusion but comes from it's stored thermal energy. The nearest white dwarf to Earth is sirus 8.6 light years from earth. White dwarf are thought to be the final evalisionary state of a small star.
